Online safety training and awareness raising
Ofsted expects all staff to be knowledgeable about online safety as part of Safeguarding. E2BN provides several online safety training sessions suitable for primary schools. We offer sessions for staff, parents and governors, run as afternoon, twilight or evening events. You may wish to combine two or more sessions to create whole or half -day course.
Online safety training
E2BN provides INSET sessions for staff that address various online safety issues. Our most popular sessions are:
Teaching Digital: this session encourages staff to consider incorporating online safety education into different subject areas. Topics include:
- Using the web as a research tool, evaluation and copyright issues
- Grooming, sexting and self-image
- Cyberbullying
- The impact of a negative digital footprint
- Setting a good ‘e-example’
- Data security
- Acceptable Use policies and what Ofsted have to say about all this
Online Professional Reputation for Staff: because our online behaviour impacts our offline life, this session is aimed at all school staff (including non-teaching staff). Although the session’s focus is staff behaviour, it carries powerful messages about what we should be teaching our pupils about the online world.
Bespoke sessions are also available.
